Quick update regarding the 3D process, the advice I've been given is to not design the room and spend all my time perfecting the room. As it's not my focal point. Thankfully, a fellow classmate has worked on interior designs so I'm going to be using one of his floor plans for my 3D model Many thanks! :)
I don't need to model all the different rooms, and I'll get various assets from Turbosquid to complete the interior.
